Policy on the Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) Tools
The Fusion of Multidisciplinary Research, An International Journal (FMR) acknowledges the increasing role of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tools—such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, or similar systems—in research and academic writing. To maintain the integrity, originality, and accountability of published work, the following policy applies to all submissions:
-
Permissible Use:
Authors may use GenAI tools only to improve grammar, language clarity, or formatting. The use of such tools for idea generation, data analysis, or drafting sections of a manuscript must be approached with caution and must be transparently disclosed in the manuscript. -
Disclosure Requirement:
Any use of GenAI tools must be explicitly acknowledged in the “Acknowledgments” section or a footnote, stating the tool’s name and the specific purpose of its use (e.g., “The authors used ChatGPT to refine the language of the manuscript.”). -
Authorship and Accountability:
GenAI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors.
Human authors are solely responsible for the accuracy, originality, and ethical integrity of all content generated with or without AI assistance. -
Data Fabrication and Misuse:
The use of GenAI tools to fabricate data, generate falsified citations, or manipulate results constitutes academic misconduct and will result in immediate rejection or retraction of the manuscript. -
Editorial Oversight:
The editorial board of FMR reserves the right to screen submissions for AI-generated content using available detection tools. Manuscripts found violating this policy may be subject to editorial investigation or withdrawal.
