Copyright Guidelines

Fusion of Multidisciplinary Research, An International Journal (FMR) is committed to maintaining transparent, fair, and legally compliant copyright and licensing practices that support open access and academic integrity.
These guidelines ensure that both authors and the publisher understand their rights and responsibilities regarding published works.

1. Author Copyright Ownership
Authors publishing with Fusion of Multidisciplinary Research, An International Journal (FMR) retain full copyright of their work.
The journal does not require a transfer of copyright.
Instead, authors grant FMR a non-exclusive, worldwide license to publish, reproduce, and disseminate the article in all formats, both online and print.

This policy ensures that authors maintain complete ownership of their intellectual property while allowing the journal to make their work publicly accessible under open-access terms.

2. License to Publish Agreement
Before publication, corresponding authors are required to complete and sign a License to Publish Agreement.
This document confirms that:

  • The author(s) retain copyright of the article.

  • FMR is granted a non-exclusive right to publish and disseminate the work.

  • The article will be distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

  • The authors confirm that their submission is original and does not infringe third-party rights.

The completed License to Publish Form must be submitted after the article is accepted for publication.
Digital or handwritten signatures are accepted.

3. Creative Commons License (CC BY 4.0)
All articles published in FMR are licensed under the
Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
This license allows others to:

  • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.

  • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.

Under the following condition:

Appropriate credit must be given to the original author(s) and source, a link to the license must be provided, and any changes made must be indicated.

This open license maximizes the dissemination and impact of published research by allowing full reuse rights.

4. Author Rights and Reuse
Authors publishing with FMR may:

  • Reuse any part of their published article in future works (books, lectures, theses, etc.).

  • Post preprints and accepted versions on institutional or subject repositories.

  • Share and distribute their published version publicly.

  • Allow reuse for commercial or educational purposes, as long as proper attribution to FMR is given.

5. Publisher Rights
Fusion of Multidisciplinary Research, An International Journal (FMR) retains the right to:

  • Promote the visibility of published research through indexing, metadata dissemination, and repository integration.

The publisher holds no ownership over the content itself — authors remain the sole copyright holders.

6. Author Warranties
By signing the License to Publish Form, authors confirm that:

  1. The article is their original work.

  2. The article has not been published elsewhere (except as a preprint, thesis, or conference paper).

  3. Necessary permissions for copyrighted material (figures, tables, or images) have been obtained.

  4. The article does not infringe any third-party rights.

  5. All authors have approved the final version of the manuscript.

  6. Any conflicts of interest or funding sources have been disclosed.

7. Use of Third-Party Material
Authors using content (e.g., images, tables, or figures) from other copyrighted works must:

  • Obtain written permission from the original copyright holder.

  • Include proper attribution and licensing details within the article.
    Failure to provide proof of permission may delay publication.

8. Reversion of Rights
If a submitted article is withdrawn or rejected, all rights automatically revert to the authors.
FMR retains no claim over unpublished material.

9. Copyright Statement for Published Articles
All published articles include the following statement:
